MOUTH WATERING FOOD OPTIONS PROVIDED AT CHICO AIR SHOW

This year the Chico Air Show will add some spice to its food menu with the “Snowbird Cantina” on Friday, September 24^th starting at 4 p.m.!  This Twilight Show and Dinner will be catered by the local restaurant, La Cocina Economica.

To kick things off in the “Snowbird Cantina,” La Cocina Economica will provide appetizing chips and salsa, which makes things even better considering the restaurant buys their tomatoes for the salsa locally!  Proving their salsa is among the best around, recently the restaurant proved their salsa skills by winning the Chamber of Commerce cook off!

Continuing the evening with savory food and fun, La Cocina Economica will also provide: Southwest Salad, grilled asada, carnitas and chicken tacos, vegetarian tamales accompanied with ranchero sauce along with delicious rice and beans.  For dessert at the Twilight Show and Dinner there will be rich Mexican chocolate cupcakes that will make you want the recipe for yourself!

Not only will La Cocina Economica be catering the “Snowbird Cantina” on Friday evening, but Chico’s own Son’s of Italy will be catering the Flightline Club Saturday and Sunday. The Son’s of Italy is a fraternal organization that donates proceeds to local charities and scholarships.

Saturday and Sunday the Son’s of Italy will offer flavorful tri tip sandwiches, their famous Italian style meatball sandwiches, fruit salad, green salad, and refreshing drinks.  Like La Cocina Economica the Son’s of Italy also supports local growers and farmers buying their food locally.

The local food vendors at the Chico Air Show include: Smokin’ Mo’s, Kinder’s Meat Deli and BBQ, Tacos Puerto Vallarta, Fattes Pizza, Round Table Pizza, Best Choice Hot Dogs, Fast Eddie’s Sandwich Shop, Big Chico Burger, Sierra Kettle Corn and Concessions, Funnel Frennzy, Danny’s Mini Donuts, Java n’ Ice, and Scooter’s Italian Ices.

With food and entertainment like this it is hard to believe anyone can turn down coming out to the Chico Air Show.  Come one, come all, this September 24-26 to enjoy hot dogs, pizza, locally prepared meals, and any other tasty snack this air show has to offer!
